The Adult Literacy Action Center serves the public by:

• communicating the business, technology and programming of adult education
• providing education, training and research covering all aspects of adult basic education
• increasing understanding of adult education in a global environment
• conserving and displaying the history of adult education in Pennsylvania

The Adult Literacy Action undertakes these purposes with the conviction that adult education has the power to enhance the quality of life for people and their communities throughout the world.
