For more than 30 years, Adult Literacy Action has helped adults
improve their basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Since 1978, Adult Literacy Action (ALA) has been helping Beaver County residents gain skills essential for success. These skills are taught through ALA's well-trained network of professional instructors and volunteers. As our learners' needs have changed, ALA has expanded its services to meet those ever-increasing needs. Free instruction is available to adults privately and at learning centers conveniently located throughout the county. ALA helps Adults develop or improve skills in reading, writing, math, English for Speakers of Other Languages, family literacy, and workforce education. If you know someone who needs to improve basic skills, or if you would like to volunteer your time to help others unlock their full potential, please contact ALA at 724.773.7810 (or via email at: alaction@psu.edu) |
