Family Literacy helps the family as a whole by providing services for learning, modeling and networking with other parents.
INCLUDED IN FAMILY LITERACY CLASSES ARE:
- Parents as Learners: who acquire adult basic education and GED preparation skills
- Parents as Learners: who act as role models of life-long learning for the families
- Parents as Their Child's First Teachers: who gain parenting skills as well as information on child development and early literacy skills
- Parents as Teachers and Children as Learners: who participate in activities together to enhance literacy skills and enjoy each other's company.
